Best boot everI rarely write reviews but for this one, I'll make an exception. If you work outdoors as I do year round.... Do yourself a favor and invest in these boots. Right out of the box they feel like your favorite sneakers, as usual for every pair of Carolinas I have ever bought, and there's been a bunch... These included, there is NO break on time at all. I hate that I have to retire my old boots but I'm so glad I bought these. The 800 gram thinsulate is wonderful.... I worked in minus 16 last week.... Feet nice and toasty. Stood in ankle high snow all day that day, no leaks, no wet socks... Just warm feet all day. Seller shipped quickly, if you don't buy these make sure your next pair is Carolinas. I have a pair of cat boots received as Xmas present with 200 gram thinsulate...... NO COMPARISON IN FIT, FORM OR WARMTH....... WELL WORTH EVER PENNY YOU'LL SPEND ON THESE. The Carolinas that these are replacing are 8 ish years old..... All Carolinas wear like iron!!!These are my 2nd pair of this particular boot. I climb cell phone & radio towers for a living and I cannot imagine doing my job with any other pair of boots. The first set I had abused the shot out of; cuts in the leather, wear and tear on the soles, & worn out shanks. But not once did I oil or treat them in the 3 years of ownership. Grants they lost the waterproofness in the last year of ownership due to cuts in the leather, but nonetheless, hands down the best pair of work boots I’ve ever owned.This pair off amazon are now 6 months old with 7 days of continuous use every week of every month for that time frame. They were performing exactly as my original pair.10 out of 5 would recommend.Been wearing these on the job about a week now. They are as advertised and seem like a good pair of winter work boots for the money. They are not my handmade Nick’s boots out or Spokane but did come in at about a quarter of the price and don’t require a four month wait.For what they are they’re good boots. Not as stiff as I thought, not unduly heavy, and should be good for a season or two. They are good in snow, not so good in mud.Worth the purchase so far, no complaints.I really like these boots, I almost "love" them, they are rugged, thick, well insulated, good sole, and can give a good kick. However, they are a little bit wide and offer no arch support. The width is the real problem, arch support being a personal issue, however in order for me to wear these properly I needed to purchase an insert. They are also on the heavy side, much heavier than standard deployment boots. The way I see it is this: If you want a good winter work boot, that can also go through a good hiking as well, grab these. But of you have a little more money at the ready, and you want something a little more versatile, look for some Danner or Beleville Marine Corps boots. Those are much lighter and have a superior sole for running.Meh, all in all a good pair of boots. AlsI work outside all year long in upstate NY. Can never find a good boot that does what it claims. These do that and more! I've had them for 4 mo the now, and they still look, fit, perform like the day I first put em on! I've stood in an icy puddle for 15 mins.straight and my toes were toasty and as dry as can be! A pair of good SmartWool socks are a must, (I don't wear cotton ) but if you do and these feel cold to you its NOT the boots! Update your socks too! Anyway, I don't normally write reviews, but these boots are so freakin great I just had to share the love. WAY TO GO CAROLINA! I'll be back for sure! I'll also write another review after a year or so... Stop shopping and buy these boots. Done deal.The size 13 boot felt perfect if you wear a 12 in Georgia boots. Great feel returned the 12 and got the 13. Prompt, thanks.:These are the most stylish dress boots/ work boots i have ever worn, however the company that makes them was sold off from china to vietnam. I wanted a new pair after many years of wear, ordered on amazon, and found out they are being made with cheaper quality leather (if its leather at all) and they are practically a joke compred to the original boot. I am determined to find a seller on amazon or elsewear that can find me a new set of the original pair. Grade A 100%The picture i uploaded shows actual worn leather i have worked those dogs to death, a pair of those new ones made me sick when i took them out the box. They had nowhere near the beauty and appeal as an original set it made me soooo mad:( the least they could do is change the price to 100 for these terrible replicas
