received the boots yesterday, they look good, look well made not sure if they would keep my feet warm as low as they claim, but I hopefully will not be out in minus 40 weather, the bad part is I take a 9.5 extra wide in a military style boot with a wide toe box ,I bought a 10.5 boot one size larger, the boot is too small first it is narrow, then once my foot gets into the boot my toes are right at the end of the boot, these boots are made in India, guess their feet are smaller, I'll be keeping them but giving them to a family member, for anyone with wide or big feet these boots run smallis is supposed to be a size 14, But it was a bit tight on my foot.my buddy sez he is a size 14 and he thought these are great boots.he has been wearing them daily around the house & outside hid place doing chores.occasionally driving with these on too. He said he is very pleased with them. [just wishes they had about 1 1/2" higher tops]he is pleased with these. :)after spouses' Lands End boot zipper broke apart this winter, ordered these as a replacement, since my women's kamiks I had found on clearance last year had been terrific all season... he is usually size 12 1/2 - 13, but the size 13 was way too small, even with regular, non-thick socks... had to exchange for 14, which fit perfectly... he has not had a chance to wear in snow yet... hopefully they will hold up & live up to the Kamik brand name!!I wear a US Mens 11 EEE shoe, and got the Kamik Men's Nationplus Boot in a 11 Wide. Kamik also offers a boot specifically for wide feet, but I thought this boot would work as it had a 11 Wide size. Upon arrival, I tested the boot with my winter boot socks but my foot would not fit in the boot. I had to put on regular socks to get my foot in, and even with that, it was a snug fit. The boot is well made, but I unfortunately had to return it to get a different boot for my wide feet. I'd recommend this for people with normal width feet, but if you have wide feet, be forewarned about this boot as it may be too snug for your liking. The size 12 fit a bit tight in the toe box and instep, so there was no room for my orthotics and/or insulating insoles. Given how thin the sole is (great for flexibility and walking ease, not so great for comfort on rough ground) and the total lack of any arch support, not being able to use my insoles was a deal-breaker.Since the length was "perfect", I found myself wishing for a size 12 1/2, hoping that would open up the forefoot enough for adding insoles. It is not to be, however.Given the thinness of the soles, I would also be concerned about how warm these would be for extended tromping around in snow or on frozen ground. Because of the fit issue, I never gave these a field test, but the soles are a lot thinner than my winter stadium boots (which I use for ski trips) or my hiking boots and shoes, so I'd be a bit doubtful. Be sure to try them out on a cold-enough day before the return period is over! All that said, my son-in-law loves his pair, also in a size 12. He may have skinnier feet than I do, or maybe he doesn't encounter the comfort/cold issues the way he uses his pair (for shoveling snow off the driveway and wearing in cold weather while off/on-loading his band's gear for winter shows). So, YMMV.Tienes la suela muy delgada y traspasa el frío de la nievejust arrived and wearing them! I usually wear a 12 but ordered 13 as per reviews to go up 1 size. These feel really good! I did a thorough inspection of the build quality. I have not found anything standing out other than a good quality boot at this price point. If you look close to the sole there are little holes for studs if you are in really icy areas. This boot does have a removeable 3m liner. I have not worn these in the snow as of yet. the storm just passed. I feel that this is a great boot for the price!!!! Only time will tell about durability. I will be re reviewing. I recommendI bought these because I was looking for a burly winter boot that didn't break the bank and this pair definitely checks both boxes. They are not as water resistant as my previous pair, but far cheaper and easier to use. So here are the important pros and cons I found for the Kamik Nationplus.* The Good *- Warmth: I was very surprised at how warm these boots were for the amount of insulation in them (200 grams). There is only the bare minimum of stitching in the liner, which prevents the insulation from compressing and provides a lot of warmth. Although I'm pretty sure this will negatively impact durability, I am totally fine with dropping another ~$50 on these in four or five years.- Ease of Use: The tongue and liner are both pretty loose and makes getting into/out of the boots a breeze. None of the hard pulling and twisting I've had to do with boots in the past.- Comfort: The Kamik's are a little tighter than other winter boots, which I like in a winter boot. Many others are kind of loose so you can fit extra socks/liners in to regulate temperature. However, that is not really needed with the extra lofty insulation previously mentioned. The snug fit definitely made me feel more confident on slippery pavement.- Traction: These boots have some pretty deep lugs that give it some serious grip. I found they do really well on pavement, but not as well on straight ice.* The Bad *- Durability: Like I said before, the lack of much stitching in the liners is probably going to cause them to wear out faster than other boots. I would say it's a decent trade off because the extra loft this provides adds a lot to the comfort level.- Water Resistance: That ease of use I talked about before comes at a price. If the boots are not tied very tightly, water gets in past the waterproof tongue. I did some testing in the backyard and found the waterproof claim is generous at best when dealing with slush or water like deep puddles. Snow was fine, but you have to make sure you really cinch the laces down when expecting lots of slush. To be honest, if these were priced more like other winter boots they would be a 3 star product at best. However, I paid $50 for my pair and now they are down to less than $40. That is less than even half the price of some of its closest competitors! That is an extremely low price for a pair of boots that, while definitely not among the best out there, comes kind of close. For that amount, I would be cool with buying these every four or five years. They are good, solid, warm, dry and comfortable, but they only get 2 stars because the stitching on the heel cups unraveled after a year. Both went within days of each other 3 or 4 rows of stitching. I took them to two separate cobblers who weren't prepared to stitch into the rubber compound. So I've had to bin them.
